When Detective Caleb Faulkner heads to a nightclub known to be a hotspot for paras and witches, he meets the guitarist for local gothic metal band Obscurité. The attraction is instant and strong, and soon they find themselves smitten with one another.

Roland Montgomery has been around paras—even vamps—for a long time, but no one ever made him feel like Caleb does. Just as they decide to pursue the spark between them, though, trouble rears its ugly head in the form of a witch hellbent on using Roland as a lure to catch his best friend Brant Ford.
