Lewis is resigned to never finding anything he's good at. He hasn't heard from his father, the High Mage, since they failed to discover what kind of magic he has. Lewis believes the test was wrong and he's not actually a mage. His peaceful, but boring life is turned upside down when his father goes missing, leaving behind only a letter naming Lewis the next High Mage. His father's disappearance may be more sinister than it seems. Lewis must pretend to be a well trained mage worthy of his new title. His life may depend on it.
