Andrew has always dreamed of being a guitarist in a rock band. The problem is he doesn't play guitar. When he sees an ad asking for a guitarist who doesn't play guitar, he thinks his dream could finally come true. However, the eccentric band leader's uncompromising vision of jazz and noise creates many obstacles. Can Andrew keep the band going and fulfill his dream?

Richard is a former struggling artist dealing with the new pressure of fame and money. While he can appreciate the idea of money, he worries if it will affect his artistic integrity. Richard endeavors to prove he can still create under pressure during the city's Art Walk event. Meanwhile, Richard takes the band under his wing and acts as their mentor. But will the band inspire him or create more pressure?

Richard's friend Reginald has his own demons to deal with, or in his case, ghosts. He sees famous dead painters everywhere and lives in what is reputed to be a haunted house. Even though he hates public performances, he has a vision that prompts him to open his Victorian mansion for a show at the city's Art Walk event.

Martha is a prominent photographer who seems to have the ability to feel and see energy. Her newest assignment is chronicling Reginald's art show. But spending the night in Reginald's house may push her past her comfort zone.

Jazz Trash is a novel about making art, making noise, ghosts, cats, and passion by the author of CRUMPLED PAPER.
