About the Author

La'Tanya Y'Vette Patty was born in Mound Bayou, MS, and raised in a Small town called Shaw, MS, which is also known as a small town with a Big Welcome! La'Tanya opened a Daycare called All My Children. She was able to run it for 10 years, and once her husband, William Carroll, passed away after those 10 years, she wanted to open a Facility in his name called the William Carroll Supportive Living Facilities, LLC.

Where she houses the mentally disabled individuals. La'Tanya loves caring for people in her facilities, where she gives them the qualities of life as normal individuals. She has carried her excellence from being an all round athlete to caring for people in a Profound atmosphere with their peers. La'Tanya was able to move from Memphis, TN, of 26 years to her hometown of Shaw, MS. She has since had the opportunity to not only care for the mentally and disabled individuals, but was fortunate to care for her dad, Tommy Gunns, and her mother, Ruth Montgomery. La'Tanya has a heart of gold and will do anything to help the next person.

Book Summary:

The narrative is about Skylie, a girl who grew up in a rural town and, from a young age, had a vibrant connection with nature and a strong sense of community. She excelled in athletics from a young age, displaying strength, speed, and determination. Skylie faced challenges, such as learning to control her strength and speed in sports and dealing with the absence of her father during her early childhood. She achieved significant success in high school and college sports and even played professionally in Germany. Despite her success, Skylie felt a strong pull to return to her hometown and family. She eventually moved back and established a daycare and a supportive living facility, finding fulfillment in contributing to her community.
