Carter froze and his already pale skin whitened. Clementine was a girl he'd met a few years ago. She worked at Victoria's Secret and flirted with him when he came in to buy a camisole for Georgia, who never did wear it. They had an affair that lasted six months, and then Clementine stopped returning his calls and messages.
