A story about a young boy who yearns for true friendship, a true friendship based on mutual understanding, character, and love, not on the superficial things that makes the eyes twinkle and makes the heart grow cold with greed, a real friendship ,something difficult to find.

Finding this kind of friendship is so hard more so for Gilbert junior, because he is a boy from the poor neighborhood, no one wants to be his friend because to them he will infect them with his poverty.
