When your ship is broken and no one else can see it, fixing things gets a little... weird.
Meet Sailor — yes, that's his name. No one's ever called him anything else.
After a terrible storm wrecks his ship and leaves him stranded, Sailor washes up on the shores of Maybe-Maybe-Not Island. A seagull has made a nest on his hat, and things only get stranger from there.
The islanders are unlike anyone Sailor's ever met. Their eyesight is so poor, they can only see the tips of their own noses. They speak nose-to-nose, and to them, anything beyond arm's reach might as well not exist at all.
So when Sailor tries to fix his battered ship, there's one big problem: no one else can see that it's broken. And if they can't see it, how can they help? Or even believe it's real?
As Sailor learns the curious customs of the island, he realizes he must do more than just fix wood and sail. He must help the islanders see the invisible — not with their eyes, but with something deeper.
A humorous and heartwarming tale about seeing differently, believing in yourself, and never giving up — even when no one else sees what you see.
