Daniel is a 19-year-old university student in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He's normal except he doesn't dream like most other people. He has had just one dream. Throughout his life, he dreams a continuing story, like Netflix episodes. Nothing else. He hasn't questioned this because it is all he has known - until he awakes and begins wondering why he is the only one who does this. He takes his questions to his professors and that leads to doctors getting involved. Then, Daniel's world turns upside down and the questions become potential answers that he doesn't welcome. There is, it turns out, a hole in Daniel's head; his brain isn't like that of everyone else. His world is not normal. Is there a anomaly for researchers in Daniel's head - or a message for all of us?
