From Brazil to Denmark and now in Canada, Melissa's adventurous spirit and artistic soul have blossomed through travel, nature, and imagination.

At just ten years old, during a season of homeschooling in Winnipeg, Melissa told this entire story aloud in one inspired moment-word by word, from beginning to end. Over the next two years, she lovingly brought it to life with her own illustrations.
