Lilou is a witch. Now what?

Having been initiated into the craft by her French grandmother, Lilou returns to Pittsburgh without a plan. Magic is of little help when dealing with a divorce. Nor does it help in her everyday job as an accountant.

The only lifeline to her magical abilities is Josh, Lilou's house elf or a domovoy, as he likes to be called.

Josh leads Lilou on a journey of self-discovery and helps her understand the parallel universe of household helpers. Once she finds a way to cooperate with the magical creatures, she comes to terms with her new abilities and comes into her own as a witch.
