On the basis of the presence of the Holy Spirit and faith in the risen Lord Jesus Christ, there are the spirituals/believers (I Cor. 2:15, 3:1), and the naturals/unbelievers (I Cor. 2:14). The naturals need to accept the Lordship of the Christ and go through spiritual transformation to become spirituals (Tit. 3:5). When this transformation takes place, the naturals are said to be born again (I Pet. 1:23). All spirituals are born again. However, not all born again are of the same spiritual maturity level. On the basis of spiritual growth, there are spirituals that are immature (the 'milk' takers, I Pet. 2:2, I Cor. 3:1-2, Heb. 5:12-13), and those that are mature (the 'meat' takers, I Cor. 3:2, Heb. 5:14). The babe in grace must grow in grace by gaining spiritual momentum because being spiritually immature breeds immature spiritual conduct and service. How do you gain this spiritual momentum? This volume will guide you to press on to spiritual perfection (Mt. 5:48, Heb. 6:1, Jas. 3:2, Phil. 3:12-16).
