The doctrine of repentance is the great "omission" of modern-day Christianity. It is the great omission in the Great Commission! Too often, preachers call on people to repent without teaching them what it entails. This is a dangerous inattention because repentance is a part of the very foundation of the true Christian faith (Heb. 6:1).

Ancient preaching called for repentance (Mt. 2:8, Mk. 1:14-15, Mk. 6:12, Acts 3:19, 26:20). Repentance was the essential message of Christ (Mt. 4:17, Mk. 1:14-15, Lk. 4:14-15). The first sermon that Christ preached, indeed, the first word of His sermon, was "Repent" (Mt. 4.17). The last and farewell message that Christ left when He was going to ascend was on repentance (Lk. 24.47). The first message preached on the birthday of the New Testament church was repentance. "Repent" was the first command issued on the day the church was born (Acts 2:38). This book will guide you to comprehend the breadth, length, depth, and height of the repentance that saves.
