In the Shadowrealm, a dark winter tale persists about the Umbral Stag, a spectral creature who emerges from the Obsidian Void and punishes the wicked during the Frostglow season. Those taken by it are never seen again-or worse, are returned changed. The tale is dismissed by most as superstition, but when strange events unfold in the Shadowrealm Castle after a holiday feast, the Shadowbearer, Micah, his lovers Ryuji and Edan, along with his trusted scout, Riayh, are drawn into a chaotic Frostglow night filled with the terror of being hunted by something far worse than legend.
