What is it about coffee shops?
"Welcome to Cape White Oak." No words felt so hurtful before. I was seventeen, right in the middle of my junior year of high school when my parents decided to relocate to this seaside town. I was determined not to make any connections, not to let anything hold me down here. My parents' cottage, this little town, all of it was a pitstop on my way to something better. I had plans. I was going to Wolfebury University to study photography, travel the world.
My path was set, until I got that part-time job at the local, indie coffee shop, The Bean Roast - until I met Henry Alder that fateful spring.
