On the night of August 9, 1969, one of the worst crimes in history happened in Los Angeles. Five people were brutally killed in a house at 10050 Cielo Drive. Steven Parent was shot and stabbed in his car outside. Abigail Folger and Voytek Frykowski were found on the lawn—Abigail stabbed 28 times, Voytek shot, beaten, and stabbed 51 times. Inside, Sharon Tate (eight months pregnant) and Jay Sebring were tied up and stabbed multiple times. Jay was also shot.

The next night, Leno and Rosemary LaBianca were stabbed to death in their home. "WAR" was carved into Leno's chest, and Rosemary was stabbed 41 times. Bloody messages like "Death to Pigs" and "Healter Skelter" were left at both scenes. At first, police didn't link the crimes.

Charles Manson, leader of the "Family" cult, denied planning the murders, blaming music for inspiring violence. His followers were convicted for these killings and two others—Gary Hinman and Donald Shea. Some believe the Manson Family was directly connected in other deaths, including those of Family member Christopher Zero and attorney Ronald Hughes, no one was ever charged.

This is their story and where they are today.
