This story begins at the old hotel, The Admiral Benbow, a lonely place situated on a cliff on the English coast. Sailors sometimes visited the hotel on their way to the city of Bristol. One day an old, ugly sailor with a scar on his face, knocked at the door to ask for accommodation. His only personal item was a large wooden chest. "You can call me Captain," he told the hotel owners.

Adapted from the adventure novel written by Scott Robert Louis Stevenson, and published in London in 1883.
