Our story takes place in England in the middle of the 15th century. Henry the Sixth was king and a civil war between the royal families of Lancaster and York was destroying the country. A young man called Richard Shelton, known as 'Dick', was riding quickly to the city. He was carrying a message to recruit any men who could use a bow and arrow to join him. A terrible battle with the supporters of York was about to happen.

Adapted from the historical novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson in 1888. The story takes place during the War of the Roses, the civil war in which the House of Lancaster and the House of York fought for the throne of England.
