David Macpherson collects original art from comic books and comic strips. He has the original art that was used to make the comic books.

As part of this, he has a sub collection that looks at fine art through the lens of comic book art. He has art for comic strips that makes fun of abstract art. He has ones about art forgery. There are pieces about making and understanding art.

The work goes from cartoony images to realistic images. The artists in this collection include John Burns, Richard Sala, Kim Deitch and many others.

There are around fifty pages in this collection.

Now David has imagined that all of them have been framed and put up as part of a gallery show. This book is the imaginary catalog for this imaginary exhibit.

David talks about how it got the work, why it matters to him as well as thoughts on fine art and museum going.

This collection catalog is a love letter to the creators of fine and cartoon work.
