In DESCEND, death isn't the end—for many, it's just the beginning. Again.

Sarah is the Demon Keeper of Descend, a cosmic system designed to ReTrain wayward souls who fail to Ascend after death. But the construct of Heaven and Hell doesn't exist. Instead, humans are placed on a moral continuum: those who grow and evolve advance to higher consciousness among the stars. Those who don't? They return. Again and again.

Unfortunately, fewer souls are able to Ascend—and Sarah knows why.

Sarah believes the only way to fix it is to find the one who broke the humans—Galloyde, a powerful Overseer who was banished thousands of years ago. To retrieve him, she'll need help from a new class of cosmic "gods" known as Elgets, corporate-like emissaries sent to guide developing planets, and from her demons—real, flesh-and-blood demons.

Their journey spans dimensions—Earth, outposts, and forbidden realms—where truth is buried in myth, and demons are doing all they can to save humanity. Sarah soon uncovers her own powerful lineage, a truth tied to magic, memory, and choice.

As political tensions flare and ancient enemies rise, Sarah must decide whether humanity is worth saving at all—because they don't seem too interested in changing, and to survive, they must change. In order to restore balance, she'll have to break the very laws she was created to uphold—defying the Council, the Atheciery, and the systems of life, death, and rebirth themselves.
