In Athens, real estate agent Zoe Patrakis discovers that apartment 42 in Kolonaki contains an impossible number of rooms that defy physical dimensions. Upon investigating, she meets Elias, a mysterious boy who maps the ever-changing rooms, and Sotiros, an elderly man who seems to maintain the property.
Zoe learns that the apartment is actually "The House of Infinite Rooms," a sentient entity designed in the 1940s as a psychological experiment to store people's painful memories. Visitors can surrender memories they wish to forget, retaining only the facts without the emotional pain.
Three months after her first encounter and surrendering a minor memory, Zoe is called back to the house. She discovers that her grandfather was once a "Keeper" of the house, and that she has been chosen as the next Keeper to help maintain the collection of memories and guide new visitors through the process of surrendering their painful recollections.
