Out of the fire, into the flames.

Stranded in the heart of the wilderness, with storm clouds gathering above them and a thousand dangers at their back, Liv and her friends travel as quickly as they can to the northern settlements. But the road they must take is not an easy one, and there are many who would see them fail.

A trusted friend provides a temporary haven, but the tiny fellowship is tearing at the seams. Old grievances threaten to break them completely; and with her dreams pulling her one direction, and her heart in another, Liv must decide which way her path truly lies.

Winter is fast approaching, and anyone left in the cold will freeze. Will the friends reach the settlements in time? What fate will be awaiting them if they do? Is it possible to escape one's past?
