本书首先以历史学与哲学相结合，解决了中国哲学的学理问题，并梳理出中国哲学的八个学理，提出"中国效度"与"哲学效度"相结合是中国哲学最为根本的学理。基于此见，作者以"礼义"这一经学哲学性内容为视域与根柢，通过阐发"述古""周文轴心"等观念，确立了中国哲学研究的"中国效度"；再以原创性哲学"诠释学"之"意识形态文本"为核心理念，提出诠释学五层次理论，通过融通方法论诠释学与哲学诠释学之人类哲学诠释学新理论形态，确立中国哲学研究的"哲学效度"。
