Kin descend to the colony to find the alien moon slowly destroys their bodies. Unproven technologies aim to reverse the decline, but survival remains dubious. Fynn would rather be an engineer than a rebel leader, especially since his crew-mates yearn to rejoin their families, but his sister's wild edicts threaten deadly consequences.
