After the events of C Troop, 1/5 Kommando Book 3: Operation Dark Angel, the team is sent to investigate the appearance of a mysterious ship attacking pirate bases. After witnessing the attack, the team, along with another Kommando team, investigates the identity of the mysterious ship. They are taken to The Edge, the planet known for being on the edge of known human space, investigates and finds the general identity of the attacking ship.
