Miguel & Elizabeth Newquay Beach Tales 2024

Book 5 of 6 Echoes of the Past

In Echoes of the Past, Miguel and Elizabeth confront their parents' unresolved grief as winter settles over Newquay. Miguel organizes an intervention for his alcoholic father, Paul, while Elizabeth gently urges her mother, Dorothy, to join a widow's support group. Both parents initially resist—Paul angrily, Dorothy quietly—but begin tentative steps toward healing.

As Christmas approaches, the couple hosts a joint holiday dinner, fostering fragile connections between their families. Though the gathering is bittersweet, small moments of warmth—Paul and Dorothy bonding over music, Dorothy laughing again—hint at progress.

Through courage and compassion, Miguel and Elizabeth break cycles of avoidance, learning that grief must be faced to make room for joy. Their love becomes a foundation for rebuilding fractured families, proving that while loss shapes lives, it need not define them. The story closes with hope—a shared resolve to honour the past while embracing a future unshackled by silence.

I do hope you enjoy this fourth instalment, and it's only $3,

The initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 plus and is, what can I say, a love song in modern style . The closing music ends in a modern upbeat instrumental at 2 minutes plus again looking forward to the next episode!

The story itself runs to about 30 minutes and is narrated by my wife, Claire Francis, We used to live in Cornwall.

I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come
