Twenty-eight years have passed since Ajax of Solis claimed victory in the Seventh Great Battle, placing his king, Soren, upon the High Throne of Shilan — the throne before which the other five kingdoms bow.

Now, just two years before the next Great Battle, the five kingdoms once again prepare their great warriors. Beneath the indifferent gaze of the Nameless God, only one shall survive. And his triumph will grant his king dominion over all for the next thirty years.
