Carolyn knows the Emergence brought her a new community, but it also revealed the existence of people with magical Talent to the scrutiny of the world. Her high school life ended on a tumultuous note, but now that she's a junior at Pine Hills University, her life has become stable. She has her twin Kit. She has her sorority sisters.
