Sherlock Holmes and The Adventure of the Retired Colourman is a short story written by Arthur Conan Doyle, first published in the Liberty magazine, 18 December 1926 (US).

The Retired Colourman is the 24th episode of season 1 of the American radio series The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, written by Edith Meiser, first aired on WJZ-NBC (NBC Blue) on 11 march 1940, starring Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Dr. Watson. Includes original sponsored ad by Bromo Quinine.

Every attempt has been made to improve the quality of the original recordings. Keep in mind, this audio was recorded for the radio over 80 years ago. While this presents some audio challenges, it also gives the recording a sense of genuine nostalgia and a classic feeling.
