David used to be a boy scout. Don't say it too loud. He is not ashamed of it, but you just don't need to be so loud about it, dig? In 1989, when he was 19, he participated in his last scouting event. His troop went to the Boy Scout National Jamboree. They met a waitress in Gettysburg who was not afraid of scouts. Dave's friend attempted to date the waitress, and this is his memory of that summer. Parts of that summer.
The Long Weekend Review is an occasional e-zine that allows the writer to do whatever they want, as long as it is written in three days.
