CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

Rihanna, born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is a Barbadian singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. Her career began after her demo was heard by Jay Brown, an A&R executive at Def Jam Recordings. She auditioned for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid, signing with Def Jam and releasing her debut album, Music of the Sun, in 2005. Her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad, marked a shift to a more edgy image. In her career, Rihanna has experimented with pop, dubstep, and rock. She has achieved numerous chart records, awards, and has become a pop and fashion icon. Rihanna has also established herself as a successful businesswoman with brands like Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty.

CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

Rihanna's full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and she was born in Saint Michael, Barbados on February 20, 1988. Her mother is Afro-Guyanese, and her father is Barbadian with African, Irish, English, and Scottish ancestry.

As a child, Rihanna suffered from intense headaches, leading doctors to suspect a tumor. Her health improved after her parents divorced when she was 14 years old.

Before becoming a singer, Rihanna was a cadet in Barbados's Cadet Corps, where her drill sergeant was the later Barbadian singer-songwriter Shontelle. She initially wanted to graduate high school but chose to pursue a music career instead.

Rihanna's debut single, "Pon de Replay," was chosen because it was deemed the best song for a summer release. It reached the top five in fifteen countries and became a club hit in the U.S.
