CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

Lionel Messi's full name is Lionel Andrés Messi, and he was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina. He is known for playing as a forward and is the captain for both Inter Miami and the Argentina national team.

Messi's family has Italian and Spanish roots, with his father's side descending from immigrants from the Marche region of Italy and his mother's side also having primarily Italian ancestry. Growing up in a football-loving family, he began playing the sport at a very young age with his brothers and cousins.

At the age of four, Messi joined a local club called Grandoli, where he was coached by his father; however, his maternal grandmother, Celia, was his earliest influence, accompanying him to training and matches. In tribute to her after her death, Messi celebrates his goals by looking up and pointing to the sky.
