THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA AND CURIOUS FACTS COLLECTION

CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known as Eminem, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer credited with popularizing hip-hop in Middle America. Born in 1972, he rose from poverty to become one of the greatest rappers of all time. His success is seen as breaking racial barriers for white rappers. He gained notoriety with his alter ego, Slim Shady, expressing anger through transgressive lyrics. Eminem's notable works include The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show. He has received numerous awards, including an Academy Award for "Lose Yourself". In addition to music, he has also been involved in film, television, and business ventures.

CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

Eminem was a member of several hip-hop groups, including New Jacks, Soul Intent, Outsidaz, and D12, before achieving solo success. He also collaborated with Royce da 5'9" as the duo Bad Meets Evil.

Eminem starred in the 2002 film 8 Mile, playing a dramatized version of himself. The song "Lose Yourself" from the movie soundtrack won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first hip-hop artist to ever win the award.

Eminem co-founded Shady Records, which helped launch the careers of artists such as D12, 50 Cent, and Obie Trice. He also established his own Sirius XM Radio channel, Shade 45.

Eminem's debut album, Infinite, released in 1996, was a commercial failure. One lyrical theme of the album was his struggle to raise his newborn daughter, Hailie, on little money.
