It all started after their parents died.

Nannette, Neil, Geo and Tabitha Barker are forced to live in a new state after the death of their parents. They find themselves struggling to fit in with their new environment. Each sibling struggles with grief in their own way — grief of losing their parents and having to start all over with their lives.

They now live across from the woods with their reclusive aunt. It's not long before they have an unwelcome visitor, and she'd like to come in. This person? Bebe Bobbit. A vampire that's responsible for a recent string of murders at the local school. That's where we meet Zack Malone, an emotionless boy whose life purpose is to hunt and kill vampires.

Nannette wants to get closer to Zack but he refuses to let her get close. When Tabitha becomes more grief-stricken every day, she becomes a temptation for Bebe, who finds this to be an ample opportunity to lure her outside, which could lead her to becoming the latest victim.
When she falls for the sweet words of the undead, and with the help of a reluctant Zack, Nannette, Neil and Geo train to become vampire hunters and rescue their youngest sibling — from either becoming a vampire herself, or winding up perma dead.
