The Blue Widow

By

Darryl Martel
Margaret Redfern, a retired schoolteacher with a keen mind for detail, visits the village of Highfield with her friend Eleanor Middleton. While staying with local vicar Reverend James Atherton, they hear whispers of an unsolved death that many believe was the work of a ghost. A year earlier, the difficult and ailing Mrs. Agatha Pritchard died under strange circumstances. Her wallpaper flowers turned blue, just as a fortune-teller had warned, and she was found lifeless in her bed. The case was inconclusive—was it an accident, supernatural forces, or murder?

When another death occurs under eerily similar conditions, Margaret senses a human hand behind the mystery. With Eleanor's reluctant assistance, she unravels a cunning plot that relies on fear, deception, and chemistry.
