The main task of this book is to help beginners make the leap from studying isolated words and phrases to reading (and enjoying) simple texts in German.

Students will learn vocabulary, grammar, and idioms by reading short stories and answering questions which are meant to stimulate the active use of words and grammar used in the stories. Reading makes the learning process more smooth and fun.

The questions given after each story can help teachers and learners make up dialogues. So, the book can be used both at a language course and for self-teaching.
