The one that got away — and then came back.

Seven years ago, my life ended.

Not literally, of course, but I was shattered so completely that it feels that way.

The wound still hasn't healed. It just festers and throbs — a constant reminder of everything I lost.

All I can do is accept it, and I do, until the cause walks right back into my life as if nothing ever happened.
