This story is a tale of three women who struggle to free themselves from being "bonded". While one attempts to free her wings after prolonged oppression, others lose their wings in the process of freeing themselves. The story is plotted in a fictitious land which is somewhere around the Red Sea.

Kitchens have witnessed the agony of women who have sweated all their lives to make delicious meals for the family, forgoing one for themselves. For generations, they have taken orders from male managers. This makes the restaurant an apt place for women as normalized by society and often approved for women by the present economically driven era which prefers dining. This story revolves around a woman named Mirzya who runs a restaurant inherited from her father. She is assisted by Natalie, who is a refugee and is supporting her kid through the restaurant. The restaurant plays a major part in their lives. One night, in a transient desperation to free themselves from the shackles of bonded labour, they lost the only hope of their life. The story also encompasses Derora, who after serving for so long in the home kitchen finally decided to seek her freedom. The story is about their sisterhood, struggles, hope, dreams, desires and miseries.
