Book four of six. (Oh yeah.) Wynn and company indulge Matilda by going to San Francisco for absurd amounts of indulgence that could only take place in the same place as Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Wynn's future is looking bleak, but at least he has a loving man by his side and friends who will take just about anything (in part because they're getting paid.) Matilda, for herself, is toeing closer and closer to the dénouement from Book One. This book features the cursed lab inhabited by Carson and Karma, a pair of dogwalkers turned tech bros, situated in the heart of San Francisco, Chinatown.
