Arthur Past & Future - A Legend for all Time

The legend of Arthur has been told many times in various forms, but never quite like this, which I trust will bring a smile to the faces of the reader and the child, who will hopefully drift into a peaceful slumber before you, the reader does. I have avoided lots of action and tension whilst trying to keep the subject matter entertaining, especially in the many 'dreams' which are being published separately as children's books with illustrations.

The story is of a child born to a King in a period resembling 800AD, taking him from his early days in a nursery school where he meets his lifelong friends, Mal and Maayan, who both come from different parts of the world under troubled circumstances. Arthur is taught by Merlin, who has seemingly magical insight as he relays to Arthur the past civilisation's bizarre antics and futuristic lifestyles, with vehicles that moved without horses and pictures that moved on screens, portraying huge intellectual prowess, but limited common sense of influential adults, leading to total annihilation.

Education is basic but prepares the children for adult life, where they help in the community and follow strict rules, few complaining or ever being off with sickness. Their daily lives and experiences are portrayed in a way that an adult can read to a child, where both can take pleasure from their various encounters, and children can grow up with, as they learn the value of reading.

When Arthur learns from Merlin about the strange antics of the earlier civilisation, he has dreams, and these dreams form the separate, fairy tale style adventures, like Alice in Wonderland, where the three of them face the evil of the system, acting on behalf of their new family of friends who live in the jungle, led by the fierce matriarch, Cat. Similar to the Mad Hatters Tea Party. Things are exaggerated but have their basis in truth, and with illustrations, should prove entertaining for all.

The main book continues with Arthur, Mal & Maayan helping to modernise and keep the kingdom safe, following a traditional aspect, but with the added aspiration of discovering the Holy Grail; which is simply laying down for eternity, the bare essence of all rules that are needed in order to secure the future of generations to come, without fear of constant wars or internal conflict, which includes the menace from within that attempts to manipulate the young from positions of authority... A Dream?
