THERE WAS AN ENDLESS SKY is a story of growing up in Saskatchewan, Canada, in the thirties, and through the war years and beyond. It was a great experience for a boy. The hardships imposed by draught, depression, deprivation, and the early death of his father were kept away from him as much as possible by a great mother whose strength, inspiration, and love made it possible for him to gather thousands of warm and happy memories, to reach for the stars, and to plant the seed of an endless love of the wide open prairie sky of his youth. Some of his storied past is captured here for generations to come, lest they forget their roots.
