Set in a future where humanity has ventured into space without having solved all of its own problems. The Endeavor is the first of its kind. A starship designed and built for the corporations to help control the frontier. Because of this, the crew must balance doing the right thing with the goals of the corporations who care more about short term profits than the good of humanity.
In this episode, the Endeavor is given a mission before the full crew arrives. They are to investigate the disappearance of a corporate executive who has gone missing. But when they arrive, they must decide between ensuring the safety of the executive or risking him and the ship to save the entire population of the colony. And while their orders are simple. Save the executive, the morality is more complex.
