This novel with images is based upon the power of the New Testament, which talks about the faith of the Hebrew judge Samson. Part of the reason why Samson is essential to church history is because, for most of Christian history, the church was destined to be just like Samson: believers in Christ carried a Hebrew spirit bound to a specific occupation where strong drinks were prohibited and long hair was not frowned upon, but there was always the possibility of an evil woman giving away the vulnerability of the saints for the love of money. And that is what has driven some to betray the Lord, while most just simply desert the God who created them. Meanwhile, there are always the select few who stay faithful to the Jew who bought them with his own blood.
