Sheriff Wolfe arrests a man caught in a trap of his own making.

On a hot summer night in Rhone County a teenaged girl is murdered. One month later, building contractors find her badly decomposed body in a rundown toolshed on an abandoned property near her home.

The young men responsible for her being there are two unlikely partners in crime. Nick is a coward. Jaxx is a bully. Drunk and disoriented, they don't know who dealt the deathblow when they played their favorite game.
