It's a busy Halloween night for the Veil Sheriff's Department. Rookie Deputy Benno enlists Violet's help in tracking down a young man who's gone missing, while Deputy Jen Grogan joins the sheriff in investigating a series of vicious pranks. Apparently Veil residents are being terrorized by Johnson's Welder, a monstrous figure from local folklore.

Meanwhile, Jen's daughter, Cy, disobeys her mother in an act of rebellion—and ends up putting herself in great danger...
