Reyna Vance is a bounty hunter with a reputation for getting the job done—by any means necessary. She's smart, ruthless, and always two steps ahead. But then she makes the mistake of taking on Vince.

Vince is an ex-petty criminal, a disaster in the field, and quite possibly the dumbest person she's ever met. He can't follow orders, he ruins jobs, and he's one screw-up away from being dumped on the nearest wasteland planet. Yet, when he isn't screwing things up, he's fixing things. Literally. Turns out, Vince is some kind of engineering savant. He can fix ships, cook gourmet meals out of rations, and—against all odds—he just might be useful.

Still, Reyna and her crew—reformed criminal, Jace, and her ever-pragmatic robot, Axe—aren't convinced keeping him is a good idea. When their latest job uncovers corruption at the highest levels of law enforcement, they'll have to decide: is Vince a liability, or is he their secret weapon?

Explosions, betrayals, and absurdity ensue as Reyna tries to balance bounty hunting with babysitting. Will she whip Vince into shape before he get them all killed?
