CREATED BY TRIVIA HUB

John Cena is a multi-talented American celebrity, born in 1977, known for his success as a professional wrestler, actor, and rapper. He began his wrestling career in 1999, joining WWE in 2001 and becoming a 16-time world champion, a record he shares with Ric Flair. Initially a villainous rapper, "The Doctor of Thuganomics," he transitioned to a heroic character. Cena is also a five-time WWE United States Champion and a two-time Royal Rumble winner. Cena has starred in films like The Marine and is also known for his philanthropic activities, especially with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

John Cena was born on April 23, 1977, in West Newbury, Massachusetts. His mother is of English and French-Canadian descent, while his father has Italian ancestry.

Cena was a childhood fan of wrestling, making championship belts out of cardboard with his brothers. He was also teased and beaten up at school, leading him to ask his parents for a weightlifting bench at the age of 12.

Before becoming a professional wrestler, Cena pursued a bodybuilding career in California. He began training at Ultimate Pro Wrestling's (UPW) Ultimate University in 1999.

Early in his wrestling career, Cena wrestled in local flea markets and used a semi-robotic character called "The Prototype". He also held the UPW Heavyweight Championship for 27 days in April 2000.
