Hi there! My full name is Konstantina Cassandra Flanagan, but my friends call me Kat. My older brother Rudy says that the K in Kat stands for Kook Case! I am 15 and a half (some folks say I look 18!). I live with my father, James Flanagan, Esq. and his new (soon to be formalized by wedlock) number one lady Linda Hebert. Dad is a lawyer for an international construction and investment company called One Good World. He travels a lot and Rudy and I often go with. My mom Trina Gigantes is a sculptress who is now married to oilman Darrell Hughes. They live in a New Mexico art colony. Darrell is pretty swift. And rich! As you probably guessed, my parents are divorced, and our family is all over the place, but what the heck, it's cool. At least, that's how I see it. Rudy is pretty smart when he applies himself, and like all my girlfriends tell me, he's cute too. But don't tell him! He's an okay kind of brother, even if he never believes me at first when I stumble across crime. What I like about travel is, you never know what you'll find when you get where you're going. Last year, for example, we went to the island of Maui, where I thought I was going to rest up and help Mom with a new show of her sculpture. Instead, I ended up crossing swords with a really despicable Japanese Yakuza gangster named Hiroshi, who tried to burn alive Rudy, me and a friend we made there named Kenji, except that–well, read on and you'll find out! Anyway, I'm keeping this journal to chronicle my life so that someday when I'm a famous and respected archaeologist it'll be easy for people to read about all my adventures, right up to when I find the Holy Grail. Or maybe the Lost City of Atlantis, whichever comes first. I have a lot to tell you about my latest case, in Orlando, Florida, you know, the place with the castle and the mouse? I learned a lot there about the three E's: entertainment, ecology and...evil. Oh, right, and also how to escape the jaws of famished alligators and save my dad!

"Satisfying mystery that sets a brisk pace"
School Library Journal, reviewing the first Kat Flanagan adventure.
Outrage in Orlando is the fourth in a series of K.C. (Kat) Flanagan Girl Detective™ adventures to appear in e-book format. Previous titles include Panic in Puerto Vallarta, Chaos in Cancùn and Mayhem on Maui, with Rampage on the Riviera to be published later this year. All will soon be released in multiple languages, including Spanish, Dutch, German, Swedish and Chinese.
"Brimming with travelogue details"
"As with all series, the lure becomes more addictive with each adventure as you return to the lives of familiar friends. Refreshingly, none of the parents or their significant others are drawn with clichéd, shrewish lines, and not once in the two books does our heroine resort to moaning about her dreadful hair or impossible looks. K.C. likes herself, which makes her pretty likable.
