His Wonders to Perform tells the story of the author's parents, Anna and Willie Horne, and her cousin, Robert Louis Battle, the current artistic director of America's Cultural Ambassador to the World, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. But even more important than her cousin's ascension to the top of the international dance world is the story of how God kept faith with their family and led them along their tumultuous way to places of rest and quiet, where they came to know that God really does move in mysterious ways, his wonders to perform.
