Pepper's world revolves around Max.

She loves being controlled by him; it feels right to be dependent on him when he takes good care of her.

Then, Mr. Stephan comes in with his equally massive body, stormy eyes of a pent-up predator, and a desire to stay in her heart forever.

He also wants to be a part of her life, but she doesn't know how that's going to work. Max is too possessive over her, and he would never let another man touch her.
