Today, Edgar Wallace (1875 - 1932) is mostly remembered for his role in the creation of King Kong. However, he was an extremely prolific writer, and is still on the list of the best selling fiction writers of all time. During the First World War, he entertained British readers with satirical first person narratives about a completely inept German agent called Heine.
